BRIEF: Poetry reading set in Norman

Feb. 26--NORMAN -- Oklahoma City poet Richard Dixon will be featured in a free reading at 2 p.m.March 9 at the Santa Fe Depot, 200 S Jones Ave. His appearance is sponsored by the Performing Arts Studio.

Dixon is a longtime transplant to Oklahoma from the coal mines of southwestern Pennsylvania. A retired high school special-education teacher and tennis coach, Dixon now works part time at a municipal tennis center.

His poems and essays have been published in "Crosstimbers," "Westview," "Uncle Walt's Corner of the Long Islander" and the 2012 Texas Poetry Calendar. His work also has appeared in numerous anthologies.
