Feb. 26--LEETON -- School Superintendent Susan Crooks said the facility committee will discuss using LED instead of solar lights to save money.
Crooks said Kansas City Power & Light has a grant and the Department of Natural Resources has a loan for LED lights.
"This is something that we want to at least look at," Crooks said.
Crooks said she had estimates from Robert Sites, owner of Sites Electric Heating Cooling and Refrigeration, Leeton, that the school could save $3,000 per year compared to regular lighting.
Leeton started looking into solar lights in September.
