Feb. 24--Mortgage delinquency and foreclosure rates dipped slightly in December in the St. Louis area, and remained well below national levels, CoreLogic reported.
The real estate data firm said 0.97 percent of St. Louis homes with mortgages were in foreclosure, down from 1.02 percent in November.
The company said 3.76 percent of metro St. Louis were 90 days past due in payments, down from 3.78 percent.
The St. Louis delinquency and foreclosure rates have been hovering around the current rates since September, following a long, slow decline.
In December of 2012, the foreclosure rate stood at 1.29 percent, and the delinquency rate at 4.4 percent.
The nationwide foreclosure rate was 2.09 in December last year, and delinquency rate was 5.03 percent.
