NBP chief for streamlining Youth Loan

The National Bank of Pakistan President Ahmed Iqbal Ashraf on Saturday called a meeting of all regional heads of Sindh, Baluchistan, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Kashmir and Federal Capital to further streamlining the process of Prime Minister Youth Loan Scheme.

The bank chief discussed the status and impediments in processing the scheme without compromising the transparency and merit of loan applicants.During the meeting it was disclosed that thousands of applications have been approved and almost ready for disbursement. The criteria for this loan is that people of 21 to 45 age group would be given from Rs.100,000/- to Rs.2,000,000/- to unemployed citizens of Pakistan. President discussed that this scheme is very important and may become foundation for the uplifting of the economy and play vital role in creating a hope amongst the unemployed youngsters to establish their own business and contribute in country’s economic growth.
