For optimal management of State investments in hydraulics sector

MOSTAGANEM (Algeria)- Water Resources Minister Hocine Necib underlined Thursday in Mostaganem (355 km west of Algiers) that the challenge of his department's next five-year plan is the optimal management of the State's investments in this sector.In a press briefing on the sidelines of his visit to this province, the minister said that the next five-year programme for his sector will be that of the optimal management of the State's investments in the last decade to deal with the problem of drinking water supply."We will take up this challenge by ensuring the maintenance and rehabilitation of equipment and facilities as well as supporting the training of the sectors' officials," he said.The minister reported the inking of an agreement between Algeria and Korea to implement a central remote system for the management of dams. This system will be supervised by the National Dams and Transfers Agency and its Korean partner.
