Forex reserves stand at $7.99 billion

The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at $7,994.2m on 14 Feb 2014. Foreign reserves held by SBP: $3,196.7m, Net foreign reserves held by banks: $4,797.5m and Total liquid reserves: $7,994.2m. During the week ending 14 Feb 2014, Reserves increased by $356m. The increase in reserves is attributed to $406m official inflows during the week; which include $353 million received under Coalition Support Fund, US$53 million from multilateral and bilateral sources.

During the week ending 14 Feb 2014, on account of external debt servicing and other official payments, SBP has made payments of $150 million from its reserves; which include $147 million paid to IMF under SBA.
