NASDAQ OMX Fixed Income has detected that the calculation of closing fees for futures on omnibus accounts has been performed incorrectly due to an issue in the clearing system. Currently the fee is incorrectly calculated based on the absolute net difference of long and short positions in a futures contract. This will be corrected and as of
February 24th, 2014, the closing fee will correctly be calculated for the long and short positions individually. This means that it is important to close-out client positions on omnibus accounts before expiration date to avoid paying both a transaction and closing fee. The next expiration date for affected instruments is March 17th, 2014. This change only affects the following products: RIBA - Riksbank Future 3MSTIB - STIBOR Future (not SEK or NOK denominated FRA contracts) 2 year, 5 year and 10 year STAT Future (not government bond forwards) CIBOR – CIBOR Future MBF’s - Danish Mortgage Bond Future For further information concerning this exchange notice please contact Jonas Buskasor Henrik Jerberyd, telephone +46 8 405 60 00.
