February 19, 2014

Indore students got a pat from Wipro global hiring head Rajeev Kumar Singh for their talent in the field of information technology on Tuesday.

Indore students can really do great in the software industry if provided the right exposure. City being an educational hub of Madhya Pradesh is strategically very important for us", said Rajeev Kumar Singh.

He was here to select science graduates for Wipro's 4-year Wipro Academy for Software Excellence (WASE) and Wipro Software Technology Academy (WSTA) programme meant for science graduates.

A total of 43 science graduates were selected from 12 colleges which participated in the selection process organised at International Institute of Professional Studies (IIPS). "Irrespective of the fact that whether the student studies in a private college or government college, we have selected them purely on the basis of their talent", added Rajeev.

Highly impressed by the performance of the students in the test he said that the city has got the required educational infrastructure and the only thing that is needed is proper exposure for the students. Indore has some reputed science colleges like Holkar Science College and IIPS which produces quality science graduates whom we wanted to tap for our organisation.

Rajeev further said that the major element we focus during the whole selection process is the student's communication skills as rest of the things we train them during the programme. The colleges of Indore were also happy that one of the country's software giant is conducting such a drive for the science students.
