BRIEF: Gasoline price to go up next week

February 19, 2014

Globes, Tel Aviv, Israel

Feb. 19--The price of 95 octane self-service gasoline is set to rise by NIS 0.13 per liter to NIS 7.49 per liter in March, because of the rise in the price of oil and the weakening of the shekel against the dollar during February. The final price hike will be set next week.

The price hike follows the 1.2% cut in the price of gasoline on February 2 to NIS 7.36 per liter from NIS 7.45 per liter.

The price of gasoline is based on the average quotes of CIF La Vera trade prices for fuels in the Mediterranean basin in the last five trading days of the month, which are then converted from dollars into shekels.
