By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Managed Care Weekly Digest -- A.M. Best Co. has assigned a financial strength rating of A- (Excellent) and an issuer credit rating of "a-" to National Health Insurance Company (NHIC) (Bedford, TX). The outlook assigned to both ratings is stable (see also Accident and Health Insurance Companies).

All remaining ratings of INIC and its affiliates are unchanged.

The methodology used in determining these ratings is Best's Credit Rating Methodology, which provides a comprehensive explanation of A.M. Best's rating process and contains the different rating criteria employed in the rating process. Best's Credit Rating Methodology can be found at A.M.
