TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Feb. 18, 2014) - The Jr. Economic Club of Canada was created in 2011 by Rhiannon Traill with a primary mandate to educate Canadian youth about the importance of personal money management and financial literacy.
Each year, high school students from across the province of Ontario join the Jr. Economic Club for their "Day on Bay" field trips which bring students out of the classroom and down to the heart of Toronto's financial district for a day of fun educational activities, tours and guest speakers.
On February 18th the Honourable Charles Sousa, Ontario's Minster of Finance will pilot a financial literacy game at The Junior Economic Club of Canada's Day on Bay program. This game will help students get a sense of real world budgeting on a personal and provincial scale in a fun and interactive session led by the Minister.
