Truck owner's plan to escape EMIs flops

February 16, 2014

"Complex gets the crime when master brains anchor it. A truck owner, an insurance agent and a lawyer made a plan so that the owner can escape from paying EMIs for a truck and still own it.

Unable to pay monthly truck installments, Dilshad Mohammad came in contact with an insurance agent Nitin

Sagar who chipped in a master plan.

Nitin Sagar told Dilshad that he can make him available a fake FIR of his truck being stolen, on the basis of which the insurance company will pay the loan amount and he would be free from his worries. Dilshad readily agreed and gave him Rs 50,000 for the said purpose.

Police said, "Dilshad brought a truck numbered MP 09 HG 5333 in November 2013 under loan from Sriram Finance Company. Then by creating fake documents, he tried to escape from paying back the loan amount."

On the basis of information, police apprehended Dilshad near Hira Nagar police station with a truck numbered MP 50 H 1090. On further enquiry, the conspiracy weaved by Nitin Sagar came to light.

The truck police recovered from Dilshad has the same chassis and engine number that the FIR points out. On inquiry with Lasudia Police Station, it came to light that the FIR was a fake one.

Further investigations revealed Nitin Sagar's name. And Nitin told police that the fake FIR was created by a lawyer Vinod Dangi.

Police said, "The lawyer Vinod Dangi and Nitin Sagar are accomplices. The lawyer has created four fake more FIRs for Nitin Sagar charging him Rs 20,000 for each."

The trio was booked under sections 420 (cheating), 467, 468 & 471 (forgery) of IPC."
