Citi Bahrain celebrated its 45 years of presence and 25 years of consumer banking operations in the Kingdom. The celebration, held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Manama, was hosted by Citi Chief Executive Officer for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) James Cowles, Citi Chief Executive Officer for the Middle East Division Atiq Ur-Rehman and CEO of Citi Bahrain Mazin Manna. "Citi Bahrain has been a partner in the Kingdom's progress for over four decades. The celebration salutes our clients for their continuous support and loyalty and a reiteration of our commitment to the local market," Mr. Manna said. Citi has been a major banking player in Bahrain since 1969. The bank's Institutional capabilities include corporate & investment banking, capital markets, sales & trading, transactions services and Islamic banking, while its consumer banking arm, Citibank, has been offering a range of wealth management and consumer credit services since its launch in 1989. Citibank is the first and only bank in Bahrain to offer personal loans without the requirement of a salary transfer. The bank also introduced Citi Premier Miles credit card, the only card of its kind in Bahrain with multiple airlines as redemption partners.
