Sony Computer Entertainment America Assigned Patent

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 14 -- Sony Computer Entertainment America, San Mateo, Calif., has been assigned a patent (8,641,528) developed by two co-inventors for systems and methods "for executing multiple video games, or other sources of video, include a game execution environment in which each game application is executed on the same operating system but within a virtual I/O shell." The co-inventors are Rui Filipe Andrade Pereira, Aliso Viejo, Calif., and Andrew Buchanan Gault, San Francisco.
