Friday's ETF with Unusual Volume: QQEW

The First Trust NASDAQ-100 Equal Weighted Index Fund (QQEW) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Friday, with over 3.5 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 89,000. Shares of QQEW were up about 0.1% on the day.

Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Friday were Cisco Systems (CSCO), trading up about 1.5% with over 41 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Sirius XM Holdings (SIRI), up about 1% on volume of over 24.1 million shares. NXP Semiconductors (NXPI) is the component faring the best Friday, up by about 3.9% on the day, while Vertex Pharmaceuticals (VRTX) is lagging other components of the First Trust NASDAQ-100 Equal Weighted Index Fund, trading lower by about 3.2%.
