Banking's Liabilities Totaled CNY141trn by 2013-end

BEIJING, February 14, SinoCast -- Banking financial institutions' total liabilities hit CNY 141.18 trillion as of the end of December 2013, growing 12.99% over a year earlier, according to China Banking Regulatory Commission.

Total liabilities of large commercial banks amounted to CNY 61.16 trillion, growing 9.05% over the previous year and accounting for 43.32% of banking financial institutions' total.

Total assets and liabilities of joint-stock commercial banks hit CNY 25.34 trillion, growing 14.09% over the previous year and accounting for 17.95% of banking financial institutions' total.

Total liabilities of city commercial banks amounted to CNY 14.18 trillion, growing 22.89% over the previous year and accounting for 10.04% of banking financial institutions' total.

Total liabilities of other financial institutions reached CNY 40.5 trillion, growing 15.34% over the previous year and accounting for 28.68% of banking financial institutions' total.
