Rep. Luetkemeyer Introduces Bill to Study Capital Requirements for Nonsystemic Banking Institutions

WASHINGTON, Feb. 14 -- Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer, R-Mo., has introduced legislation (H.R. 4042) to "require a study of appropriate capital requirements for mortgage servicing assets for nonsystemic banking institutions."

The bill was introduced on Feb. 11 and has four co-sponsors. Co-sponsors are Reps. Ed Perlmutter, D-Colo., Tom Cotton, R-Ark., Frank D. Lucas, R-Okla., and Steve Womack, R-Ark.

The legislation was referred to the House Financial Services Committee.
