Police Arrest Fake Doctor, Six Others Arrested for ATM Robberies

Police operatives attached to the Lagos State Police Command yesterday arrested and paraded a fake medical doctor and six other persons for allegedly raiding several Automated Teller Machines (ATM) in Lagos.

The suspects who were identified as Tajudeen Dosumu (a doctor), Isaiah Willie, Jonathan Insirim, Tairu Kareem, Daniel Onuaha, Eyo Bassey alias General and Confidence Saviour, were arrested after raiding an ATM machine belonging to one of the old generation banks in the state.

The police also recovered assorted military and police rifles with loaded magazines including 16 various automatic rifles, four AK47 rifles, 300 rounds of AK47 magazines, one pump action gun, a police walkie-talkie, one sledge hammer, one iron cutter and eight gas cylinders, from the gangs hideout in Igando.

This is just as Dosumu revealed that he had been treating patients for over 15 years with a fake certificate and had veered into a life of crime at 60 years due to ignorance.

In his confessional statement to the police, Dosumu who had been parading as a medical doctor admitted that though he attended Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ife, he dropped out of school at 400 level.
