Feb. 13--The sale of EQT Corp.'s distribution arm and increased natural gas sales boosted the company's net income last year to $391 million, or $2.32 per share. In 2012, net income was $183 million, or $1.41 per share.
The Downtown-based oil and gas operator finished the fourth quarter of last year with $115 million in profit, up from $48 million during the same three months in 2012.
EQT drilled 146 Marcellus Shale wells last year and 50 wells in the Huron play.
It also drilled 22 Upper Devonian wells and seven Utica wells.
Operating revenue for the year was $1.7 billion in 2013 and $1.2 billion in 2012.
