Feb. 13--BUCHAREST -- The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Thursday's trading session lower, with the BET-C composite index slumping 0.04 percent in the 35 opening minutes.
The BET index reflecting the developments of the 10 most liquid stocks went up 0.13 percent and the BET-FI index of the financial investment companies (SIFs) slid 0.28 percent. At the same time the ROTX index was inching up 0.12 percent and the blue-chip extended BET-XT index of the 25 most liquid stocks gained 0.05 percent.
The BET-NG index of the companies in the energy and utilities sector dropped 0.17 percent.
The BET-BK return benchmark index for stock investment funds moved 0.04 percent down 35 minutes into the trading session.
The BVB liquidity amounted to close to 522,000 euros; the top liquid issuers were Banca Transilvania, SIF3 Transilvania, SIF2 Moldova and Nuclearelectrica.
