Bab Market showcase for young artists

February 13, 2014

BAB Market is returning today showcasing creations of budding artists.

The three-day market is being held in co-operation with Bahrain Real Estate Investment Company (Edamah) as part of festivities marking Year of the Arts 2014.

It will launch at 5pm and will give aspiring entrepreneurs a platform to showcase their products, which mostly consist of art, clothing, accessories and food.

It will also feature live musical performances by Bahraini musicians, workshops, activities for children and a pop-up gallery to showcase the artwork of local artists.

It coincides with the Culture Ministry's celebrations marking the anniversary of the National Action Charter.

Bahraini band Note 13 Music will perform tomorrow from 4pm to 6pm. Traditional Bahraini band Mohammad Bin Faris will perform from 6pm to 8pm.

A new live painting show using Arabic Calligraphy, based on words from the National Charter, will also be held. The Bab Market takes place every second weekend of the month this year.
