WASHINGTON, Feb. 11 -- The Senate Finance Committee has sent to the Senate floor the nomination of Karen Dynan, of Maryland, to be assistant secretary of the Treasury for Economic Affairs.
According to the Congressional Record published on Feb. 6, other Senate committees that sent nominations include:
* The Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee sent the nominations of Wanda Felton, of New York, to be first vice president of the Export-Import Bank of the U.S.; Katherine M. O'Regan, of New York, to be assistant secretary of Housing and Urban Development; and Arun Madhavan Kumar, of California, to be assistant secretary of Commerce and director general of the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service.
* The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee sent the nominations of Victoria Marie Baecher Wassmer, of Illinois, to be chief financial officer of the EPA; Thomas A. Burke, of Maryland, to be an EPA assistant administrator; Kenneth J. Kopocis, of Virginia, to be an EPA assistant administrator; Roy K. J. Williams, of Ohio, to be assistant secretary of Commerce for Economic Development; Rhea Sun Suh, of Colorado, to be assistant secretary of the Interior for Fish and Wildlife; and Richard J. Engler, of New Jersey, to be a member of the Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board.
* The Senate Judiciary Committee sent the nominations of Indira Talwani, to be U.S. District Judge for Massachusetts; James D. Peterson, to be U.S. District Judge for the western district of Wisconsin; Nancy J. Rosenstengel, to be U.S. District Judge for the southern district of Illinois; and Debo P. Adegbile, of New York, and John P. Carlin, of New York, both to be an Assistant attorney general at the Justice Department.
