Abbott Cardiovascular Systems Assigned Patent

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- Abbott Cardiovascular Systems, Santa Clara, Calif., has been assigned a patent (8,637,111) developed by six co-inventors for methods "for modulating the release rate of a drug-coated stent." The co-inventors are Lothar Walter Kleiner, Los Altos, Calif., Ni Ding, San Jose, Calif., Yiwen Tang, San Jose, Calif., Fuh-Wei Tang, Temecula, Calif., and Shaw Ling Hsu, Sunderland, Mass.
