Feb. 02 --Sen. Granny Warren , the fake Indian, has said many things that we all remember, most of them involving her, ahem, Native-American heritage. That gag about her high cheekbones is one of my personal favorites. But Chief Spreading Bull recently delivered another memorable line at the Martin Luther King breakfast: "We cannot be a country that says, 'I've got mine, the rest of you are on your own.' " Wow, I thought. What Republican would make such an inflammatory statement? Ted Cruz ? Rand Paul ? Mike Lee from Utah ? So I looked it up on Google, and guess what? I could only find one politician who's ever had that line attributed to them, at least recently. Last month, the senior senator addressed a group of public-sector pinky-ring thugs: "The Republican vision is, 'I've got mine and the rest of you are on your own.' " Before that, she spoke on the Senate floor last October, "We are not a country of pessimists and ideologues whose motto is, 'I've got mine, the rest of you are on your own.' " Is there an echo in here? This is Sen. Lieawatha in front of the Senate Banking Committee last year: "In other words, their vision is, 'I got mine, the rest of you are on your own.' " What is she talking about? On your own? We've got all-time record numbers of Americans on the dole, and the Republicans just invited 11 million illegal aliens to wedge their snouts into the public trough. Meanwhile, "income inequality" has skyrocketed under her hero's disastrous presidency. Who just canceled 5 million health care policies? But what do I know? I'm not the medicine man for the welfare state, she is. Who can forget her stemwinder at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte in September 2012 : "The Republican vision is clear: 'I've got mine, the rest of you are on your own.' " Which reminds of an email she sent out in July 2012 : "The Republicans have given their vision about how we build the future. They said, 'I've got mine, the rest of you are on your own.' " Those damn Republicans! What a bunch of greedheads. Why, they're the type of people who would claim to be minorities even if they're white, just to get a tenured professorship in the Ivy League that they weren't entitled to. Granny Warren's got hers, the rest of you are on your own. But wait, those evil unnamed Republicans have said other terrible things. At Marty Walsh's inauguration, the fake Indian recounted more of their hate speech: "We have heard the claim that our country's future must be one of narrowing opportunities, a world in which those who are born into wealth do well but those born in poverty have little chance to escape ..." But there is one sure path of escape. Lie your way out. Check the right box under "ethnic group" and you're set for life. Don't worry, no one will ever check.
