Virtacore, a cloud services provider, announced the upgrade of its Chicago data center site.
In a release, the Company noted that Virtacore's Chicago facility now features a fully meshed and redundant Cisco UCS stack with CPU and RAM, along with Nimble Flash Storage devices and multi-GIG point- to-point connectivity to Virtacore's data center in Ashburn, Va.
Bill Thompson, Virtacore's Vice President - Engineering, said, "By standardizing our enterprise platform across all data centers, we can offer the most resilient network architecture and massively scalable cloud infrastructure nationwide to better serve and support Virtacore's enterprise customers 24x7. There are very few providers, if any, who have enabled a multi-site enterprise fabric leveraging Cisco UCS, Nimble and VMware vCloud Suite. Our customers are demanding proximity in order to improve performance, increase SLAs and reduce latency. We now have broader reach across the nation for private cloud production environments and disaster recovery and replication services."
George Naspo, Virtacore's Chief Executive Officer, said, "Our motto is: 'Your Cloud, Our Infrastructure.' We are in the business of making the large financial investments into enterprise IaaS compute and optimized storage that our clients no longer want to make or manage. Virtacore's enterprise IaaS platform is built for clients to achieve scale, and gain better and more reliable IT performance so they can focus on their business growth, drive operational efficiencies and increase competitiveness. It's a win- win."
