Extension of Cisco networkThe current data network of the IBP is operated by a core switch and several Distribution-/Edge-L2/L3-Ethernetswitches the manufacturer Cisco. For the year 2014, the IBP is planning the expansion and partial replacement of the existing Cisco switches. Location Far should thus approximately 1200 network ports are provided with the help of different switch types. For to be procured core switches and the required WLAN management solution, a maintenance contract must be offered. The aim is to procure all components by the manufacturer Cisco. For the new backbone switches the appropriate switch management software is to offer in the current version. Almost all offered systems (hardware) may not be offered as revised systems - with the exception of software products, together with the associated licenses, maintenance contracts for two core switches to be procured and be procured for the WLAN controller.
