World Affairs Council Lectures Free for Campus Community

ALLENDALE, Mich. , Jan. 29 -- Grand Valley State University issued the following news: Grand Valley has again partnered with the World Affairs Council of Western Michigan to make the council's upcoming lecture series free for members of the campus community who wish to attend. "Great Decisions 2014" begins Monday, February 3 , and continues each Monday through March 31 . Global and national experts will present lectures on timely topics such as national security leaks, food insecurities and trade policies. Lectures will begin at 6 p.m. at Aquinas College's Performing Arts Center . Dina Temple-Raston , counterterrorism correspondent for NPR , begins the series February 3 with her presentation, "The Role of the Press and National Security Leaks in the Age of Big Data." Students, faculty and staff members planning to attend are asked to sign-in at the college desk. Other area educational partners are Aquinas College, Grand Rapids Community College , Davenport University , Ferris State University , Kendall School of Art and Design, Montcalm Community College and Western Michigan University .
