This amendment is issued to identify additional specifications omitted from the previous submission.The United States Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 5, Contracting and General Services, intends to award a sole-source purchase order to Telonics, Inc., 932 E. Impala Avenue, Messa AZ 85204, for the purchase of: 1) Platform Terminal Transmitter Satellite Tracking Tags (PTTs), implantable and external, for Diving Bird Study. 2) Refurbished Platform Terminal Transmitter Satellite Tracking Tags (PTTs), implantable and external, for Diving Bird Study 3) Shipping: Item is the costs to ship items to Hadley Massachusetts 01035. The proposed contract action is for a product for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.305. The approval of a sole source justification has resulted from technically sophisticated requirements and tested reliability. PTTs are efficient, lightweight, and transmit data for long periods (up to or exceeding 1,400 hours). PTTs contain software to support multiple duty cycles in a calendar year format. This programming tells the tags when to switch transmission cycles according to a date within a calendar year. Under this unique capability, any firms believing that they can provide the products listed may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 14 days after the date of publication of this notice, clearly showing its ability to provide the items described with equal accuracy and reliability.
