January 28, 2014

JAMF Software, a company focused on Apple device management, announced its participation at Bett Show 2014, a technology event for the education technology community, to be held on January 22- 25, in London, England.

According to a release, Bett Show 2014 provides a global meeting place for over 35,000 educators and learning professionals to gather and gain a better understanding about the latest and greatest technology solutions shaping and improving the way people learn. The conference will include several summits and seminars discussing best practices and showcasing technology solutions across all education levels from the classroom to the boardroom.

During the event, JAMF Software noted it will provide live demonstrations of its Casper Focus software, which puts teachers back in charge of the digital classroom by allowing them to unlock, restrict or enable devices in the classroom without involving IT. Casper Focus ensures that all students are engaged with the appropriate app, and using their Apple devices in the ways the technology was intended.

JAMF Software's educational evangelist, Dave Saltmarsh, will also be presenting at the event. In his talk titled, "Unlock the Full Potential of iPad in the Classroom with Casper Focus," Dave Saltmarsh will discuss how teachers use Casper Focus to perform classroom management tasks while preserving the magic of the iPad. The presentation will demonstrate how with just a couple taps, teachers can command the attention of their classroom by controlling which app each student sees on their device. Attendees will learn that this can be done untethered, all from their own iPads, with no assistance needed from the IT department.
