QorosQloud introduces several capabilities never before seen in production cars, bringing a new perspective to the way motorists interact with their cars. It offers cloud-enhanced navigation, vehicle monitoring, and safe driving services.
QorosQloud is a powerful realisation of Qoros' strategic objective to be innovative and creative in meeting the lifestyle needs of the modern, metropolitan consumer. QorosQloud provides more than 30 services at launch, including several from the major Chinese content providers and social media networks.
Accessed in the car via the advanced eight-inch Qoros MMHTM (multimedia hub) touchscreen that is fitted as standard to all Qoros 3 Sedan models, QorosQloud services can also be accessed from the user's smartphone, tablet, PC or Mac via a new dedicated website at www.QorosQloud.com and a QorosQloud app (currently for Apple iOS, with apps for other operating systems following shortly, including Android).
The website and mobile apps enable QorosQloud to be integrated across customers' connected devices and enhance the way they interact with and incorporate their car into their digital lives. This creates a closer connection than ever between driver, vehicle and the digital world. It enables motorists to remain 'always-connected' to navigation and traffic information, their social networks, and the car's condition, maintenance and service requirements.
Enhanced navigation technology
QorosQloud's enhanced state-of-the-art navigation service goes far beyond providing accurate turn-by-turn voice guidance and points-of-interest (POI) searches. By seamlessly integrating with users' mobile devices QorosQloud ensures that when the driver gets into the car, the eight-inch touchscreen presents them with the route they planned on their smartphone, tablet or computer, which has been uploaded to the car via the cloud.
QorosQloud is the world's first in-car guidance system that is capable of calculating the duration of the driver's entire journey, and provides real-time traffic and weather information. It also enables the driver to access and customise information on their driving and journeys, and enables them to design their own journey and select points of interest, and share them with friends. Even if they drive the same car, different drivers can use their personal accounts to access their own personalized information and experiences.
These advanced cloud-connected functions are included with QorosQloud at no cost.
Vehicle monitoring and Safe Drive Plan
QorosQloud delivers a class-leading suite of services and includes a permanent 3G connection to the cloud that is provided free-of-charge and connects the driver, the car and the digital world. A few simple swipes on the eight-inch Qoros MMH touchscreen enables the user to access information on tyre pressures, servicing and maintenance schedules, and to book an appointment with the dealer.
With environmental considerations becoming increasingly important, QorosQloud's Eco-drive monitoring service assesses driving inputs and behaviour with a view to encouraging more eco-friendly driving. It processes the data in real-time and offers tips through the Qoros MMH screen - and via the website and smartphone apps - to help customers minimise their environmental impact and maximise driving efficiency.
Drivers can view the status of repairs or maintenance work when the car is in the workshop, and can also check the car's location remotely and can set alerts for when it leaves a pre-defined geographic perimeter.
Personalized motoring tips, and vehicle service and status monitoring features are all available in the car and via the QorosQloud website and mobile apps, and are therefore accessible anywhere and at any time.

The carefully designed range of services incorporated within the Safe Drive Plan includes Emergency Road Rescue, an advanced accident response feature that represents an industry-first in
The Safe Drive Plan also includes real-time monitoring and display of driving behaviour. QorosQloud uses this data to warn drivers about poor or dangerous driving habits. It encourages safer and more considerate driving by generating tips displayed on the Qoros MMH touchscreen and through the personalised QorosQloud website and apps.
The Safe Drive Plan is included when motorists opt to take advantage of either the Basic Safety Plan or the Comprehensive Carefree Plan car insurance packages that are offered exclusively to Qoros customers thanks to its unique partnership with CPIC. Drivers can expect to save up to 20% on their insurance premiums with these specially-tailored packages.
Instant information sharing
True to its objectives to deliver services that meet the needs of the modern, metropolitan consumer QorosQloud helps users to share every important moment in real-time through social networks. Users can access updates from their social networks and to share their driving experiences, interests, photos and favourite driving routes, enabling the car to become an integral part of their 'always-connected' lifestyle.
Easy to use with minimal driver distraction
QorosQloud is accessed through the Qoros MMH (multimedia hub) eight-inch capacitive touchscreen that occupies a prominent position in the centre of the Qoros 3 Sedan's dash.
The advanced software, technology and graphics of the Qoros MMH were designed and developed in-house to safely manage information displays for minimal driver distraction and to optimize ease-of-use while on the move.
The innovative user-interface is based on the finger 'swipe' concept of modern smartphones and is the first in-car touchscreen in the world to be responsive to multi-touch gestures. Replacing the array of switches and buttons that blights many modern car interiors, the capacitive touchscreen enables the user to manage entertainment, navigation, cloud-connectivity and vehicle settings.
The system's user-interface is highly intuitive and is designed to fully exploit touchscreen technology. For example, an incoming phone call can be answered with a simple swipe anywhere on the screen towards the driver, or can be rejected and forwarded to voicemail with a swipe away. This means drivers do not need to divert their eyes from the road to locate a specific part of the screen.
