As companies large and small modernize their IT infrastructure, many are realizing the significant benefits that come with moving servers and applications to the cloud. This move to the cloud presents huge opportunities for service providers who support Windows Azure Pack.
“As part of our Cloud OS vision, Microsoft is fully committed to the success of hosting service providers. We are thrilled to expand our long-standing relationship with Parallels as we work to reach the broad and diverse cloud distribution channel and speed time to market for our valued hosting service providers,” said
The Windows Azure Pack enables service providers to offer rich, self-service, multi-tenant services that are consistent across on-premises and cloud deployments and offer the advanced cloud capabilities of Windows Azure. These technologies include the ability to offer IaaS and hosted databases with virtual networks, high-density scalable web sites, as well as an enterprise service bus. The Parallels Automation environment allows for seamless provisioning of these new services, as well as the consolidated billing with other offerings in the service provider’s environment.
“We are excited about the prospects that we now have with Microsoft and Parallels to offer Windows Azure to our customers in our local Tier-4 Datacenter,” said
“By extending our portfolio to include Windows Azure Pack, we’re accelerating our resellers’ ability to deliver hybrid cloud services tailored to the unique requirements of the market,” said JJ Milner, founder and chief cloud architect, Global Micro Solutions. “Working with Parallels allows us to stay focused on sales, marketing and support without worrying about the backend software needs of the customer – it’s a win-win partnership.”
“We’ve seen increasing demand for Microsoft’s proven ecosystem of system management and development tools from both new and existing customers,” said
“The Windows Azure Pack APS Package enables Ipeer to answer the demand for proven Azure Pack Cloud technology hosted locally, hybrid cloud integration and the freedom to move between vendors,” said
Recently Microsoft announced the Cloud OS Network, a worldwide consortium of more than 25 cloud service providers to deliver cloud-based infrastructure and applications built on the Microsoft Cloud Platform, which includes Windows Server with Hyper-V, System Center, and the Windows Azure Pack. Parallels partners with many of these service providers to deliver value-added services to quickly develop new services and increase revenue.
