MediScripts Joins Forces with MTBC to Integrate Qology with EHR System

January 24, 2014

MediScripts, a clinical management solutions provider, announced a partnership with MTBC, a healthcare IT company, to integrate MediScripts' Qology with MTBC's Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

According to a release, Qology, an online technology developed specifically for healthcare practitioners, will allow MTBC clients to build secure peer communities, find answers to clinical questions from trusted sources using a clinical search engine, exchange knowledge, and track the latest medical trends.

"We are excited to announce our first Qology EHR partner, making it possible for practitioners to use our professional search and social community within the convenience of their EHR workflow" said Erez Lapsker, MediScripts Chief Executive Officer. "We are confident that Qology will allow MTBC clients to spend more time with patients and less time searching for clinical answers."

Accessible on multiple pages of the MTBC EHR, Qology will enable practitioners to work smart by getting real-time answers to clinical questions without disrupting their daily workflow. Clinical content available on Qology includes more than five million peer-reviewed journal articles and abstracts from PubMed, PubMed Central full- text articles, and evidence-based treatment protocols/guidelines from the Agency of Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).

MTBC clients can also collaborate with peers through this platform developed exclusively for healthcare practitioners to validate, refine and share clinical information in order to improve the quality and value of patient care.

"At MTBC, we are continuously seeking ways to assist physicians to efficiently provide care for their patients," said Stephen Snyder, MTBC President. "Qology is a great addition to our fully integrated, cloud-based EMR, practice and revenue cycle management solution."

MediScripts launched Qology at the 2013 AAFP (American Academy of Family Physicians) Scientific Assembly which took place in San Diego, CA from September 24 28. Qology users are accessing the gated program during regular physician office hours to interact with peers and conduct searches.
