Naira Firm Against Foreign Currencies

The naira appreciated marginally against the dollar at the official and parallel markets on Friday. The naira sold at 155.24 to the dollar at the official market against the 155.22 offered last week. It was exchanged at 169.50 at Bureau de Change (BDCs) on Friday against the 170 recorded last week. The naira was, however, stable at 170 to the greenback on the black market, the same amount it sold last week. The naira also appreciated against the pound sterling at the official market in the week to Friday, trading at 255.01 compared to the 255.47 it was offered last week. It also appreciated against the pound sterling at the BDC, trading at 269 to the pound. The naira was stable against the euro at the BDC, selling at 230.50, the same rate it was sold last week.
