Kyrgyzstan continues preparations for introduction of the single emergency telephone number 112 that will allow a caller to contact local emergency services for assistance. Automation of dispatcher centers continues, which are equipped with computers and required software, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Nurbek Sydygaliev said on January 21. The project will require integration of the 112 emergency service system, establishment of dispatcher centers in each district administration and mayor's offices. The overall cost of the project is $19 million. The project is financed from grants of donors.
