January 16, 2014

Technical Consumer Products (TCP) announced its Connected by TCP smart LED lighting system has won an Envisioneering "Innovation and Design" Award at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) event, ShowStoppers.

According to a release, launched in late 2013, Connected by TCP brings new levels of lighting automation for the home, and this award adds to its many other recent industry accolades.

The Envisioneering Innovation and Design Award recognizes new-to- market consumer technologies that demonstrate innovative features, functionality, value and design. Inventors, technologists, industrial designers and other experts at The Envisioneering Group review products and technologies submitted for the award.

"To gain widespread acceptance of internet-enabled, energy- efficient LED lighting solutions, we know that people are demanding the right bulb for every room, a system that's easy to set up, and a product that is affordable," observed Ellis Yan, Founder and CEO of TCP. "CONNECTED by TCP won the Envisioneering Award because it meets each of those demands."

Connected by TCP utilizes LED technology that operates on a home's Wi-Fi network and is controlled by any iOS or Android device, allowing instant control of any home lighting environment. The company already offers A-19 and BR-30 compatible LED bulbs. Connected by TCP is powered by GreenWave Reality's cloud-based Home2Cloud platform providing a smart home infrastructure that makes it easy to combine everyday household items, and make setup fast and simple.

TCP is a company focused on energy efficient lighting innovations.
