Worldwide Distributor Acquires New Titles for Domestic Release on Multiple Platforms LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/05/13 -- Today Vision Films, a worldwide distributor of independent feature films, documentaries and music programming, has announced the acquisition of several titles under their new domestic distribution label. The company's domestic division, which now releases Theatrical, DVD and Video On Demand (VOD), was launched earlier this year with award-winning features such as "Wreckers" starring Benedict Cumberbatch and "The Employer" starring Malcolm McDowell.
Since its first successful domestic release on DVD and VOD, Vision Films has taken on a number of titles scheduled for release through 2013 and into the first quarter of 2014. Newly acquired features include "Astronaut: The Last Push," an award-winning sci-fi disaster thriller featuring Brian Baumgartner of "The Office" and James Madio of "The Basketball Diaries," and "Amy," a possessed horror story set in an Amish village, featuring Christopher Atkins of "The Blue Lagoon." New music acquisitions include "Hendrix on Hendrix," a never-before-told story from Jimi's brother, Leon, "Pink: Staying True," a biography profile on Pink -- one of the most successful recording artists of all time, who is currently on "The Truth About Love" world tour, and "JT: Reflections," an unauthorized biography that looks at the career of Justin Timberlake from "Star Search" up until his current "20/20 Experience" album release and world tour.
New documentaries on Vision Films' slate, which are part of the company's expansion of its Health, Wellness and Awareness collection, include "Femme: Women Healing the World," a globally conscious documentary featuring and executive produced by Sharon Stone, and "Beauty and the Breast," an award-winning documentary with a cause for breast cancer awareness, which includes a unique perspective on prevention a la Angelina Jolie.

These screenings are requested through links on each film's website, hosted by an individual person or organization, and are available in every theatrical market in the United States. In addition to innovative theatricals, Vision Films also markets direct to the consumer through a player embedded on websites affiliated with films -- including but not limited to fan/genre sites, official websites of celebrity actors in the films, Facebook pages and more -- which allows the consumer to instantly purchase a rental stream of the film or download to own.
