TheAsylumNet Offers the Best in Creature, Raunchy Comedies, Action, and Horror

BURBANK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Asylum has been chosen by Google as one of 30 companies to debut YouTube's new subscription channels, along with National Geographic, Acorn TV, Jim Henson, and more. The Asylum's channel, called TheAsylumNet, features an exciting selection of uncensored films from The Asylum's archive - including MEGA SHARK VS. GIANT OCTOPUS, NAZIS AT THE CENTER OF THE EARTH, and BARELY LEGAL - as well as exclusive behind-the-scenes content that will only be available on the premium subscription service.

In addition to The Asylum's trademark over-the-top sci-fi action-adventure like 2-HEADED SHARK ATTACK, the channel features brand new raunchy comedies and sexy thrillers. Premiering now is #1 CHEERLEADER CAMP, a titillating blend of BRING IT ON and GIRLS GONE WILD, and SEX POT, the perfect mix of stoner comedy and teen sex genre. "Think if HAROLD AND KUMAR hooked up with CALIGULA," says producer David Michael Latt.

Subscribers to TheAsylumNet will also feel like "part of the action" at a Hollywood studio. The channel will offer a front-row seat to the filmmaking process: coming up with crazy ideas, casting well-known names and scouting new talents, and creating the amazing stunts and spectacular effects The Asylum is known for.

Users can view trailers and promos for free, but premium content is available only to subscribers. A subscription to TheAsylumNet, which unlocks all content with no advertising, costs $2.99 a month or $24.99 a year after a 14-day free trial.
