CINCINNATI, OH -- (Marketwired) -- 09/30/13 -- Datalliance presented "Vendor Managed Inventory in the Power Transmission Industry" at the EPTDA (European Power Transmission Distributors Association) Convention September 18-20, in Venice, Italy. In a year-over-year (June - August, 2012 vs. 2013) comparison, the supplier-distributor relationships using VMI realized a 13.3% overall increase in product demand, with 70% of the individual locations realizing increased demand. The industry average for this same period was a slight decrease (-.2%) or essentially flat product demand.
