The domestic handset manufacturer, Micromax has announced a strategic partnership with telecom operator Aircel to share their channel and retail networks, together with sales resources. Moreover, the firms will kick-start an integrated device sales activation program in the country. The firms have also announced reverse bundling handset offers valued at Rs. 12,000 per month for a new Aircel client having a Micromax device.
As per the new strategic alliance, Aircel has announced bundled offers for Micromax devices which comprise special calling benefits, data and dongles packs.
For example, an Aircel subscriber having Micromax smartphones will get local tariff on the both 2G and 3G networks at 1paise/2 seconds while the STD charges will be 1 paisa/second for first three months. In case of data usage, an Aircel subscriber will benefit from free 2GB per month data limit for initial three months. Also, consumers utilizing Micromax s dongle on Aircel network will get 500MB of free data per month for three months.
