New online assessment tool will help physician practices understand
ICD-10’s impact on claims reimbursement and create focused training
a leading medical claims clearinghouse for physician practices, today
announced the availability of their new ICD-10 Analyzer. This online
tool will help physician practices understand and prepare for the
financial and operational impact of the ICD-10 transition, which goes
into effect October 1, 2014. The tool is free to all users whether they
are Navicure clients or not.
The ICD-10 Analyzer is aneasy-to-use online tool that gauges
ICD-10’s impact on practices’ claims reimbursement. Additionally, the
tool maps practices’ 20 most frequently used ICD-9 codes to their
corresponding ICD-10 codes on both a practice and individual provider
level. This will allow practices to focus their training on the codes
that will have the biggest impact on revenue. All data entered into the
ICD-10 Analyzer is secure and protected, and no personal health
information is stored.
“ICD-10 is not a simple, routine technology change. Instead, it is
healthcare’s version of a ‘hundred-year storm.’ ICD-10 is a complex
transition that requires a tremendous amount of preparation and training
on the part of physician practices,” said Jim Denny, founder, president
and CEO of Navicure. “We want to provide all practices with the tools
and resources they need to prepare for and thrive during ICD-10. The
ICD-10 Analyzer is one of many tools and resources that we have
available to help practices prepare for this monumental change.”
Along with the ICD-10 Analyzer, Navicure provides complimentary ICD-10
resources, including white papers, resource guides, webinars and the
ICD-10 Hub, an educational website devoted to making the transition to
ICD-10 easier. The company announced in June 2013 that it is prepared
for ICD-10 and is ready to test with outside parties, including clients,
vendors and payers.
