In 1983, Charytin acted in the movie Verano en Nueva York ['Summer in New York'] with Mexican actor Julio Aleman. Two of the songs from the soundtrack became hits, Tu vida es un suspenso hasta el final ['Your life is a thriller until the end'], and Para llegar ['Getting there']. In 1985 she released the record Verdades Desnudas ['Naked Truths'], which was produced by Spanish singer, composer and producer Camilo Sesto. In 1986, she and Chacon acted together with Dominican-Mexican actor Andres Garcia and Yolandita Monge in a soap opera entitled Escandalo ['Scandal'].
Since 2002, Charytin has hosted, Escandalo TV together with Marisa del Portillo, Felipe Viel and Lilia Luciano, for Telefutura. In 2006 she directed a TV entertainment program for Univision.
