According to DOD: Aviation Systems Engineering Co., Lexington Park, Md., is being awarded an $8,895,204 modification (P00008) to previously awarded contract (N00189-11-D-Z040) to exercise option two of this contract to extend the term of the contract for technical, analytical, administrative and material support services to Air Test and Evaluation Squadron One (VX1), in support of the test mission of commander, operational test and evaluation force. The contractor will be required to provide support services to test and analyze Navy Aircraft. With the exercise of this option, the total contract value will be $23,138,286. Work will be performed in Patuxent River, Md., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 5, 2014. No funds are being obligated at the time of award and will not expire before the end of the current fiscal year. Funds will be obligated on individual task orders issued against the contract. This contract was competitively procured via Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with two offers received in response to this solicitation. The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center, Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity.
