Film 80s classics THE Broadway Cinema shows a pair of 1980s classic films in the next several days, starting Sunday with a 2pm showing of The Princess Bride. Then on Tuesday at 8.30pm it's that legendary teenage love triangle, Pretty In Pink. For information on both screenings, visit broadway.org.uk.

Mela Castle picnic MOST of Mela100, Nottingham's 2013 festival of Asian culture, happened last weekend. One event remains, though - Sunday's picnic in the grounds of Nottingham Castle. There will be music, market stalls and food, so bring the family. The event runs from 11am to 5pm.

Theatre Fiddler on the Roof PAUL Michael Glaser (Starsky himself) stars as Tevye in this classic musical. Directed and choreographed by Craig Revel Horwood, the play also features actor-musicians playing instruments on stage rather than a traditional pit orchestra. It runs from Tuesday to Saturday. Comedy Laughing Matters HARRY Hill headlines a show tonight that features many of the best comics on the UK circuit - and all the proceeds go to a great cause. Presented by Just the Tonic, the show that also features Tony Law and Paul Foot among others, will benefit Laughing Matters. The organisation uses stand-up comedy classes to help people who have battled addiction or other problems. The show is tonight at 7.30pm at the Royal Concert Hall.
