GPU Accelerated High Performance Workstations
Boston is launching a range of high performance workstations based on the next generation of Intel Xeon E5-2600 series CPUs. These systems boast support for the latest Kepler-based GPUs by NVIDIA in addition to the 12 core Intel CPUs, making them perfect for computationally intensive tasks such as CAD, CAM and scientific research. The Boston Venom 2401-7T, based on NVIDIA's Maximus technology, combines the visualisation and interactive design capability of NVIDIA Quadro GPUs and the high-performance computing power of the NVIDIA Tesla K20 GPUs into a single workstation. Enhanced further by innovative liquid cooling technology, the Boston Venom 2401-7T is able to run faster, quieter and more efficiently than many of today's professional workstations.
Datacentre Optimised Servers
Boston's latest datacentre optimised range features two Intel E5-2600 V2 processors and up to 512GB DDR3 ECC registered 1866Mhz memory. The Boston VS 361 G8 model incorporates Supermicro's Battery Backup Power (BBP) technology to ensure uptime in the event of AC power loss, and eliminates the need for an expensive UPS. The Boston VS 362 G8 supports up to 1TB of ECC DDR3 LRDIMM, features 2 x PCI-E x 16 slots and Gold Level Certified Redundant Power Supplies.
