The Electronics and Com puter Software Export Promotion Council (ESC) of India is willing to offer the latest and high-quality Information Technology (IT) software products and services to Bahrain at reasonable prices, ESC Executive Director, D. K. Sareen, said in a press meeting held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The ESC move is to attract Bahraini governmental and private companies, related to Information and Communications Technology (ICT), to participate in the biggest annual IT software exhibition and conference to be held in Mumbai, India on November 25 and 26. "This is a global networking event where around 150 Indian software companies participate and offer their services. This exhibition is a specialised event and is not open for the public. Through the event we aim to deliver the best quality IT software services and products for concerned companies at cheaper prices, " Mr. Sareen said. "We are expecting participation of around 700 companies in this year's edition about 300 from India and 400 companies from different countries all over the world, " he said. "We are still exploring Bahrain's market. This event will present an opportunity to discover the latest and useful products and services India can offer to the Kingdom. The exhibition can be useful for many companies, organisations and authorities in Bahrain such as e-Government Authority, banks and other companies who operate in the field of ICT. " Mr. Sareen also noted that participating in this event is an opportunity for world community, who are looking for innovative IT solutions to develop their business and walk towards dynamic business approach. He also mentioned that Bahrain is a hub for investment funds, assuring that many partnerships can take place between Bahrain and India in the field of IT and grow in a very short period. ESC is sponsored by the Government of India and is considered the country's largest Electronics and IT trade facilitation organisation. It was established in 1989, with an export performance of $200 million. It has also successfully steered India's Electronics and Software Exports to $65 billion during 2010-11 with a membership of over 2200 exporters today. ESC facilitates global interests of foreign companies interested in establishing business linkages in India.
