FRANKFURT, GERMANY -- (Marketwired) -- 08/29/13 -- As of 1 September 2013, Condor passengers will be able to pre-order a vegan menu to enjoy on board. Condor is responding to requests by numerous passengers, adding another option to its on-board menu offer. In addition to various special menus for passengers requesting vegan, vegetarian, diabetic, gluten- or lactose-free, Muslim and kosher variations, Condor also offers an extensive Premium menu.

"More people are adopting a vegan lifestyle. The introduction of this special vegan menu is Condor's response to this development, and is another step towards ensuring its passengers' comfort on-board," explains Michael Lins, Director of On-board Services at Condor. The type of meal served is determined by the departure time. Condor serves breakfast, or a cold or hot meal. The new vegan menu consists of an antipasti platter with couscous salad, a stuffed tomato with diced cucumber, Italian vegetable terrine with olives, fruit salad, sunflower bread, vegetable spread or margarine, mineral water and cashew nuts, he adds.

Condor's menu consists of first-class meals that are prepared from carefully selected fresh ingredients for passengers of all ages. Passengers requiring a special menu for health or personal reasons can easily order special meals. A separate children's menu is available for our youngest passengers if desired. Special and Premium menus cost EUR 7.00 per person on short-, EUR 10.00 on medium- and EUR 15.00 on long haul flights. They can be ordered up to 48 hours before departure, online at Condor.com.

Condor Flugdienst GmbH has been flying its guests to worldwide destinations since 1956. On an annual basis, 6.7 million passengers fly with Condor. Condor is the Germans' favorite airline: In a customer satisfaction survey conducted by the German Institute for Service Quality (DISQ) in December 2012, Condor placed first and was the only airline to be awarded the seal "very good." Since March 1, 2013, Condor has merged with the airlines Thomas Cook Airlines UK and Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium to form the Thomas Cook Airline Group.
