"Communication through a device is key to staying up with the times of technology and making sure we can keep everyone informed about everything that is going on," Fails said.

Although much of the same information is available on the district's website, Fails said viewing the website through a phone was limited, because it does not adapt for mobile view.
"Right now, the only instant communication we have with parents is using the call system that leaves a message on the home phone or home fliers in backpacks," Fails said. "We can put a notice on the website, but unless someone visits the website, they're not going to see it."
