Elain was born in San Antonio de los Banos, La Habana, Cuba. Since he was a child he knew he had born to be an artist, and at the young age of six he taught himself to play the guitar. In his teen years he joined the Orquesta Sello L.A (formed by Los Papines sons), which interpreted a danceable rhythm called "Timba". After two years with Sello L.A he entered as a main vocalist to Panchito Alonso's Band and his Kini Kini.
In 2000, Elain decided to go solo and in 2005 decided to develop his abilities as a songwriter and began producing and writing for other artists. He counts with three productions on his own: "ELAIN"(2008), "El Disfraz de la Luz" (2010) and "Volando Alto" (2012). All included original songs written and composed by Elain as well as collaborations with other distinguished songwriters/composers including Jorge Luis Piloto, Pepe Horta , Yoel Henriquez and El Chino Dreadlion among others.
The multifaceted artist is also leading an international campaign against domestic violence called "Sin Pasaje de Regreso", which took him to be part of the "Artist Network UNiTE" part of the campaign lead by the Secretary of the United Nations (UN) to end violence against women. Elain became a representative of the United Nations that works pro this cause by the end of 2012.
