'GeoSuite eliminates information stovepipes so law enforcement and first responders can collaborate and share information,' said
GeoSuite can run on any Windows-based computer or Android-powered mobile device. In addition to supporting an officer's day-to-day activity, GeoSuite can help them coordinate and collaborate as they prepare security and response plans for events such as political gatherings, parades, dignitary transport, and large-scale sporting competitions.
Mobile devices and computers provisioned with GeoSuite are connected to centralized, secure servers that store information collected and saved by individual users as well as historical information, sensor data and other data essential to the work of both departments.
Key capabilities of the GeoSuite software include:
Immediate notification - personnel can automatically receive text or email notifications based on key words, data, locations or other parameters;
Information sharing - using geo-referenced information, personnel can link others to ongoing activity;
Collaboration - multiple agencies can receive text and email updates on criminal or suspicious activity, data and sensor feeds that can be customized by the user to include searching 911 or other calls by date, event, location or other search parameters;
Media-rich content - images, videos and streaming video feeds from various cameras, motion sensors or other inputs can be recorded and stored;
Immediate position location information - GeoSuite is global-positioning enabled so personnel can view their location and the location of their co-workers in real time;
Maps - Internet-based maps and mapping services can be accessed from GeoSuite; and
Continuous, uninterrupted operation - information storage and access is available even when network connectivity or power is temporarily lost or unavailable.
GeoSuite is based on the U.S. military's proven Tactical Ground Reporting (TIGR) software. TIGR provides an interactive map-based display screen that enables soldiers and Marines to quickly review information about places, events, people and objects for efficient and timely awareness before, during and after a mission.
