Aug. 20--Internet service for Mediacom customers in southeast Iowa was interrupted for three hours Monday due to a malfunctioning piece of equipment.
Phyllis Peters, communications director for the Internet service provider, said a set of AT&T circuits from the Chicago area used to route Internet traffic in areas that include the Quad Cities region down to Burlington and southeast Iowa stopped working correctly at 11:25 a.m.
The issue with a third-party vender was resolved and service resumed at 2:25 p.m.
